“The college search and application process is both exciting and challenging and I believe with the right support and guidance it can also be fun.”

About

For more than two decades, I’ve helped countless applicants successfully navigate the world of college and graduate school admissions. From recommending schools that are a great fit to crafting compelling personal statements, I have the expertise to guide families and students every step of the way.

A former journalist, I’m keenly aware of the power of storytelling. I combine my love of writing with my training as a career counselor and prehealth advisor to help students create compelling and authentic applications. A former admissions reader for Brown, I can tell you what makes a standout application. Everyone has unique strengths and interests: what are yours?

I work with a capped group of clients, allowing me to create personalized strategies that bring out the best in each and every student. I love learning about my students: what their hopes and dreams are, what inspires them and what they struggle with. The school search and application process is both exciting and challenging but I believe with the right support and guidance it can also be fun.

My degrees include a B.A from Mount Holyoke and an M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of Virginia. I’ve worked with prehealth students at UVA and Bates College, and I uphold the highest ethical and professional standards as an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association.

I live in Concord, Massachusetts with my family and a menagerie that includes a dog, two cats, a turtle, a lizard and a flock of chickens. (I secretly want to add a goat to our collection but please don’t tell my husband that.) When I’m not working, I can be found with my nose stuck in a book, rowing on the Charles or attempting to play the piano.
